Monitoring within the village of Dualla on level grazing pasture of a development of 34 houses, including vehicular access and parking, as well as ancillary works such as road frontage works and wastewater treatment, took place between 25 April and 12 July 2005. The site encompassed an area of c. 5400m2. An enclosure was situated close to the development.
The site’s soil stratigraphy consisted of 0.27–0.35m of topsoil and sod layer, beneath which the natural subsoil was composed of orange silty clay with moderate decayed and undecayed limestone inclusions. Nothing of a cultural heritage nature was encountered in the course of monitoring.
