Eleven test-trenches were excavated across the site of a proposed development of 99 houses, a crèche and associated roads and services on a greenfield site to the west of Cashel town. No features of archaeological significance were found, but one stray find, a blue glass bead, was found when hand-excavating a shallow furrow in Trench 9. The bead measures up to 11.26mm in diameter and 8.58mm in height and the central perforation measured up to 4.16mm in diameter.
