Testing works were undertaken at Lower Abbey Street, Cahir, as part of granted planning permission to build six townhouses. Four trenches were opened on the site. No archaeological features or deposits were discovered in any of the trenches. The site had been infilled with building rubble of modern date to raise the levels to accommodate a building which previously occupied the site.
