The proposed development at Graigue is c. 1km from Carrowmore megalithic cemetery, Co. Sligo. It involves the construction of a house, access, garage and septic tank/percolation area. It is near a ringfort and possible souterrain located to the north-west. Five test-trenches were excavated by machine across the site in April 2005. The trenches measured 10m by 1m and were excavated to the level of undisturbed natural at a depth of 0.35–0.4m. There was no evidence of any archaeological activity on the site.
