The proposed development site at Battlefield, Culfadda, is to consist of a single house, garage, access and septic tank/percolation area. It is located within the zone of archaeological potential for ecclesiastical remains comprising a possible church and bullaun stone within the graveyard. Five trenches, 1m wide and 10m long, were excavated by machine across the site in March 2005. They were excavated to a depth of 0.4–0.5m. No evidence of archaeological activity was revealed.
