Testing was carried out to the rear of a series of shops at Roosky Main Street, Co. Roscommon. Four trenches were excavated in an east–west direction across the site. The stratigraphic sequence was similar in the three trenches, with layers of demolition rubble associated with a series of sheds which had originally stood on the site and some recently deposited animal bone overlaying layers of clay. Nothing of archaeological importance was uncovered.
