The site of the proposed development is located in a large greenfield site just outside Knockvicar village, Co. Roscommon. The proposed development is to involve the construction of six holiday homes, accesses, sewage treatment system and associated landscaping. The closest sites, a field system and a building, are located 250m south of the proposed development site. Twelve test-trenches were excavated across the site, with no evidence of any archaeological activity having been revealed.
