The proposed development will consist of a single dwelling house, access, garage and septic tank/percolation area. It is 40m east of a ringfort. Five test-trenches were excavated by machine to the level of undisturbed natural in May 2005. All measured 1.25m wide and 10m long and were excavated to a depth of 0.4–0.6m. The same three contexts were revealed in each of the five trenches. No evidence of archaeological activity was revealed on the site.
