The site is located to the immediate west of a linear earthwork known as ‘The Pale’ within the townland of Ballinamona, Kells. The proposed development consists of an area measuring 10m north–south by 7m, which lies to the north of a pre-existing dwelling and current workshop. It is proposed to change the use of the workshop to a garage and to construct a new workshop to the north. Testing, by means of stripping the entire footprint of the proposed workshop, revealed nothing of archaeological interest.
