The Straide group water supply scheme involved pipe laying in and around Straide, Co. Mayo, during the summer of 2005. The scheme was c. 7.5km long. Pipeline was laid within undulating pastureland, low-lying marsh, existing roadway and roadside verge. The pipeline was diverted away from seven monuments that would have been affected by the scheme. No archaeological artefacts or features were found during monitoring under this licence.
