This site at Lahardaun, Addergoole, lay on the line of the Mayo–Galway gas pipeline and was considered of significance due to its proximity to SMR 47:66, a ringfort. An area measuring 150m by 50m was tested using machine-excavated trenches and no features or deposits of archaeological significance were noted. A total of 530m of trenches were excavated.
