The site of the proposed development is located within the zone of archaeological potential for Termonfeckin (SMR 22:41) and immediately beside the early monastic site of St FechÃn. An assessment was carried out on 19 March 2005. Two test-trenches were excavated on the site along the footprint of the proposed dwelling but no features of archaeological significance were exposed and no finds were recovered. The site forms part of a garden that was landscaped years ago.
