A development site for 48 houses was situated immediately to the north-west of a field containing a ring-ditch identified from an aerial photograph. Topsoil was stripped during six days in August 2005 and one day in February 2006 by an excavator fitted with a ditching bucket. A stone wall at the entrance gate to the field was found to incorporate the back wall of a cottage shown on the 1836 OS map. Apart from this, no features of archaeological interest were observed.
