In response to a planning condition issued by Drogheda Borough Council, monitoring of groundworks associated with a proposed commercial development at St Laurence Centre, Laurence Street, Drogheda, was undertaken. The site was located along the western side of Freeschool Lane and the northern side of St Laurence Street within St Laurence Centre. The area was disturbed by foundations, basements and building debris to depths in excess of 2.5m below current ground level. Consequently no features or deposits of archaeological significance were identified.
