A development within the constraint zone of an archaeological complex listed in the inventory as ring-barrows, mounds, trackways, standing stones and ringforts (SMR 41:13(01–18)) required pre-development test excavation. Most of these sites are to the south of the development. Five test-trenches were excavated in advance of development and all were sterile.
