Three test-trenches were opened across the area to be impacted on by upgrading works at an existing water treatment building. The stratigraphy in all of the test-trenches consisted of a greyish-brown silt loam topsoil layer, measuring 0.2m deep, overlying a mid-yellowish-brown silty boulder clay. There were no archaeological features or finds uncovered during test-trenching at this site.
