Monitoring and excavation works were undertaken in advance of a housing development at Kilfinnane, Co. Limerick. A pit was recorded while monitoring topsoil removal and subsequently excavated. It measured 1.13m north-east/south-west by 0.51m by 0.31m in depth and contained four fills. The cut was subrectangular in plan, had vertical sides and the base was inclined slightly towards the south-east. One of these fills included burnt bone, 55 sherds of Beaker and Middle Bronze Age pottery and one piece of struck flint. Two stake-holes truncated the bottom two fills of the pit. A sherd of pottery and flecks of cremated bone were found at the base of the pit.
