Three enclosures lie within the proposed site for development, SMR 22:137, 22:214 and 22:215. Site 22:215 was tested and it was established that the enclosure was modern in origin. Site 22:214 was recorded by the Archaeological Survey as an enclosure and initially detected from aerial photographs. It is now not perceptible on the ground. Test excavation established an enclosing ditch on the site and uncovered the upper surface of a small pit. Both the ditch and pit are of unknown date. Site 22:137 is excluded from development.
