Test-trenching was carried out before upgrading works at a water treatment building. Two trenches were opened to investigate the areas that will be impacted by a proposed carpark, water tank and chain-link fence. The topsoil in both trenches was composed of a greyish-brown silt layer measuring 0.2m deep and this overlay a yellow, silty clay subsoil. No archaeological features or finds were uncovered in either of these test-trenches.
