Monitoring was carried out on 3–7 November 2005 at Ardagh Co. Limerick. The proposed development was a greenfield site of 1.422 acres on the main street of Ardagh which consisted of seventeen houses and associated works. The site was stripped using a track machine with a 1m-wide flat grading bucket. Nothing of an archaeological nature was encountered.
