Soil-stripping in advance of a single-house development at Carrickanurroo, Newtown Manor, Fivemilebourne, was monitored. Nothing of archaeological significance was noted. A stone-lined drain and modern crockery and brick were the only features and finds. The site had been assessed some five years earlier for a previous owner, but this information was not passed on to the writer.
