The proposed development of a four-storey office block and adjacent parking area is located at the junction of Link Road and Park Lane, Portarlington, adjacent to Dr Adrian Honan’s surgery. The office block is situated to the north of the surgery in what is today a carpark, while the parking for the new development is planned for the rear of the surgery in the rear garden of Austen House, which fronts onto Main Street. The development is located outside the archaeological constraint around the medieval town of Portarlington (SMR 5:31). Trial excavations revealed nothing of archaeological significance.
