Testing within the road-take here of the route of the proposed N9/N10 Kilcullen–Waterford scheme: Contract 3, Prumplestown to Powerstown, revealed nine pits and one linear feature. Two of the pits were square in plan and the remaining seven were predominately oval-shaped. Some showed evidence of burning in situ and contained flecks of charcoal. A linear feature orientated east–west was identified near one of the pits.
