One of the pits found here along the route of the proposed N9/N10 Kilcullen–Waterford scheme: Contract 3, Prumplestown to Powerstown, was oval in plan. The second pit was roughly circular in plan with irregular base and sides. The fills had occasional flecks of charcoal. A linear feature differed from the numerous other linear features in the area because it had a V-shaped profile. It measured 1m wide and 0.6m deep, with a north–south orientation. The fill was mid-brown silty clay with occasional charcoal flecks.
