A rectangular deposit of charcoal was partially exposed along the route of the proposed N9/N10 Kilcullen–Waterford scheme: Contract 3, Prumplestown to Powerstown. The charcoal deposit included some large fragments. The subsoil directly underneath was red/orange in colour as a result of in situ burning. A similar feature was identified in the centre-line trench. This feature seemed to have a shallow cut, which was rectangular in plan and measured 2.2m by 1m by 0.05m deep.
