A small pit was located here along the route of the proposed N9/N10 Kilcullen–Waterford scheme: Contract 3, Prumplestown to Powerstown. It was circular in plan and measured 0.25m in diameter and 0.1m deep. The cut was shallow and concave in profile. The fill had a large amount of metalworking debris. The second pit was located to the north-west, was roughly circular in plan and measured 1m in diameter with a maximum depth of 0.65m. The sides were near vertical, with some unevenness, and the base was flat. A small amount of animal bone, possible medieval pottery and a long-sided composite bone comb (in a fragmentary state) were found here. A linear feature of uncertain archaeological significance was identified west of the pit and in a number of trenches. It was orientated north-east/south-west and had a generally U-shaped profile.
