Testing was carried out along the route of the proposed N9/N10 Kilcullen–Waterford scheme: Contract 3, Prumplestown to Powerstown. It consists of c. 46km of dual carriageway and a number of significant minor side road realignments and modifications. Contract 3 was subdivided into four separate areas; Area 3 tested Moyle Big, Rathcrogue, Tinryland and Ballybar Upper townlands. Thirteen sites were identified (A021/030–A021/042, see Excavations 2005, Nos 792–3, 826–28, 833–37, 843–845).
