The development site is located to the rear of 14 Parliament Street on Evan’s Lane, Kilkenny. Two test-trenches were excavated on site using a mechanical digger. The stratigraphy consisted of a dark-brown/
black sandy soil with rubble overlying a cream/brown sandy clay subsoil. There were no archaeological finds or features recorded during testing.
