Monitoring was undertaken at the site of a golfing range, with associated landscaping and parking area, at Carton House, Carton Demesne, Co. Kildare. The site is located on the eastern side of the tree-lined avenue leading from Dunboyne Gate to Carton House. Although there are a number of archaeological sites within Carton Demesne, none are within, or in the immediate environs of, the development site. All ground-reduction works were monitored and nothing of archaeological interest was uncovered.
