Monitoring of topsoil removal was carried out on a site at Shinnagh, Rathmore. The topsoil consisted of a mid-brown silty clay. The underlying subsoil was an orangey-brown silty clay. The ground level was reduced by up to 0.8m. No finds or features of archaeological interest were noted.
