Pre-development testing as part of an assessment was undertaken in June 2005 on the sites of two dwellings located within the zone of archaeological potential for a ‘burial site’, SMR 20:19, at Lerrig, Ardfert. Three test-trenches were excavated on each site down to the natural stony subsoil layer and no archaeological features were recorded.
