Monitoring of groundworks associated with the construction of a sports and leisure centre at Deerpark, Killarney, was undertaken in March 2005. The development area is located to the south-west of the zone of archaeological potential for an enclosure. Topsoil-stripping revealed modern drainage and sewerage pipes running from east to west across the site. Nothing of an archaeological nature was noted.
