Testing of a proposed development site at Derreen, Killarney, Co. Kerry, was undertaken as part of an impact assessment. The proposed development consisted of the construction of 60 dwelling houses on a greenfield site adjacent to the constraint zone for a standing stone (SMR 66:52). No archaeological finds or features were uncovered during testing.
