Pre-development testing was undertaken in compliance with a request for further information. The proposed development is located within the zone of archaeological potential lying directly east of an enclosure site. Three trenches were mechanically excavated. In each of the trenches removal of the sod and topsoil revealed the natural brown sand layer. No features/deposits or artefacts of archaeological significance were revealed during the course of testing.
