This site at Beagh More, Donaghpatrick, lay on the line of the Mayo–Galway gas pipeline and was considered of significance due to its proximity to a ringfort identified during the EIS. An area measuring 200m by 30m was tested using machine-excavated trenches and no features or deposits of archaeological significance were noted. A total of 639m of trenches were excavated.
