Monitoring of groundworks was undertaken on a development site which was located on and immediately west of a rath at Culliondoo. An approximate 17m length of the bank of the rath was located and excavated by hand. The bank survived up to 0.81m high and 3m wide and had been clearly formed with the upcast arising from the excavation of the ditch. The associated ditch was also located and a small area excavated by hand. The ditch, 3.5m wide and 1.18m deep, was the apparent last recut before subsequently filling by water-lain sediments. In addition, three small pits pre-dating the rath were recorded, sealed by the bank. No finds were recovered.
