Monitoring was carried out throughout 2005 at Main Street, Swords. The proposed scheme involves the change of use of a Victorian building from medical consulting rooms to retail use and the construction of a single-storey extension to the rear of the property. The existing façade will be partially demolished and replaced by the installation of a glazed shop front. The development site is located in the western side of Main Street in Swords town, which is within the zone of archaeological potential for Swords (SMR 11:34). Nothing of archaeological significance was noted on the site.
