Monitoring was carried out of preparatory groundworks associated with the construction of a house on Hands Lane, Lusk, on 21 September. The site is located within the zone of archaeological potential of Lusk village. Approximately 0.2–0.6m of topsoil mixed with modern debris was removed from the site revealing a uniform yellowish-brown sandy clay subsoil which was devoid of archaeological features. Nothing of archaeological significance was discovered during the monitoring of groundworks at this site.
