Monitoring was carried out on preparatory groundworks associated with the construction of an extension to the south-western side of a shed at Carroll Nurseries Farmyard, The Green, Lusk, on 11 April 2005. The site is located within the zone of archaeological potential of Lusk village. Three foundation trenches were excavated by a mechanical digger over an area measuring 30m by 8m. This area was composed of a hardcore surface overlying topsoil. Nothing of archaeological significance was discovered during the monitoring.
