Monitoring associated with the development of the Hermitage Medical Centre in Lucan, Co. Dublin, took place over a period of four weeks from February 2005. The development did not impinge on any archaeological layers or features of archaeological significance. A land drain was encountered in the course of monitoring topsoil-stripping for the access road, but this feature was left in situ as the road was constructed at a higher level.
