Testing was carried out in the grounds of the Bon Secours Hospital in Glasnevin, Co. Dublin. The development site is located within SMR 18:5, which encompasses nine separate features of archaeological interest. The sites are of ecclesiastical importance and consist of cemeteries, a dwelling site and a Church of Ireland building and associated graveyard. Four east–west-orientated trenches were excavated within the footprint of the proposed development site. Structural remnants, demolition rubble and outhouses associated with the 18th-century Delville House were uncovered in the trenches.
