Monitoring of piling was carried out at this site. It had been noted that, in the 1970s, the entire site footprint had been reduced by 3.4m below the current street level by the insertion of an underground carpark and basement. No archaeological horizons were noted during monitoring. It seems probable that any archaeological deposits that may have previously existed on the site were removed when the underground carpark and basement were constructed.
