Further trenches were excavated on this site in January 2005 in an effort to locate the millpond illustrated on the 1960 OS map (see Excavations 2003, No. 556, for a report on earlier work at the site). No evidence for a stone-lined pond was recovered from the southern part of the site. Further work to resolve the archaeological remains on this site will be carried out.
