A pre-development test excavation was undertaken in advance of the development at 6 Gardiner Row, Dublin 1. The site lies within the zone of archaeological potential for Dublin city, SMR 18:20. The excavation involved opening four trenches located to the rear of the existing 18th-century building. The remains of a structure, internal floor and external yard were uncovered. These structural features are all that remains of the coach house associated with the existing building.
