Test excavations were conducted at Nos 110–115 Amiens Street and Nos 1–3 Halpin’s Row, Dublin 1, on 25August 2005 ahead of construction of a new five-storey mixed office/retail development, along with a basement carpark. The site fronts onto Amiens Street and is bounded to the rear by the train platforms at Connolly Station. Three test-trenches were excavated across the site. Nothing of archaeological significance was discovered in any of the trenches.
