Testing was carried out at 30 Carysfort Road and to the rear of 21 Corrig Road, Dalkey, Co. Dublin, as the development site lay in the zone of archaeological potential for Dalkey town (SMR 23:23). The development plans include an extension to the rear of a house and a granny flat to be constructed at the rear of 30 Carysfort Road/21 Corrig Avenue. The developer has planning permission for the house extension but not yet for the granny flat. Testing for the granny flat was carried out pre-planning. Nothing of archaeological significance was recorded during the testing.
