Three trenches were opened across a development site bounded by the Chapelizod bypass to the south and the Lucan Road to the north. Evidence for post-medieval cultivation was recorded in the form of cultivated soils containing crushed marine shell and minute fragments of 18th-century imported wares from Staffordshire and Bristol.
