Ten test-trenches were excavated across a site at Bremore, Balbriggan. The position and coverage of the test-trenches gave a good representation of the surviving stratigraphy on site. The areas of the site that contained extant warehouses were unavailable for testing due to the presence of these buildings. Nothing of archaeological significance was uncovered during the testing programme. In the greenfield area at the southern half of the site, the topsoil directly sealed natural subsoil. In the northern half of the site, in the vicinity of the warehouses, the existing yard (tarmac) surface directly sealed natural subsoil.
