Monitoring was undertaken for a small housing development site at Roughfort, Old Newry Road, Banbridge, in the townland of Ballyvally (Co. Down). The development was in a zone of archaeological potential, c. 40m north of a rath. There were no archaeological features or finds detected during topsoil removal. A heavily truncated field wall survived immediately to the north-west of the development.
