An underwater archaeological assessment was undertaken as part of the Moville and Greencastle wastewater scheme. It is proposed to construct a 375mm diameter treated effluent outfall within Lough Foyle at Moville. Underwater visual inspection and magnetometry by hand-held metal detection was carried out over a 600m by 40m-long seabed corridor, extending the survey by 19m either side of the proposed pipeline. No archaeologically significant material was revealed within the survey area.
